About the Event
Day 1: Milan - Risotto - Turin Workshop
This morning we will drink our first Italian espresso, we will drive towards the town of VERCELLI Italian risotto growing center. We will visit the local rice fields and meet Sylvia - a scion of the family of rice growers of generations. We will learn the secret of the white Italian rice grain and in the heart of the green fields we will cook pots and cook with our chef Saul RISOTTO AI FUNGHI POCINI from another world and local RISOTTO AL BAROLO. We will continue to TORINO the capital of Piedmont. Getting organized in our hotel. In the evening, we will have our first dinner in Piedmont County. At the gourmet restaurant Alessandro, the chef will prepare, among other things, the most Torinese pasta dish - TAJARIN AL RAGU. Back to our hotel.
Day 2: Turin major sites - Street Food - EATALY
A day dedicated to the first Italian capital - Turin. We will devote the first part of the tour to the main sites and incorporate STREET FOOD tasting from the city's tastes: the best grisini in town, the local GIANDUIOTTI chocolate - a typical local sandwich, and of course the special Torinese coffee BICERIN (coffee, chocolate and sweet whipped cream). In the afternoon, we will continue to the local culinary institution EATALY, receive from Chef Saul the required shopping list and embark on a purchase experience of excellent raw materials. We will all gather in a typical Italian fully equipped kitchen, and together with Chef Shaul we will cook a meal for glory. A tired, busy lunch awaits us. The afternoon is free to enjoy a shopping experience in Via Roma on the plethora of its brand stores, or Via Garibaldi with vintage and boutique stores. The cafes, and the impressive museums in the city (Egyptian, cinema, cars and more) await us at every corner.
Day 3: VENARIA REALE - "King's Winery"
In the morning we will go to the small town of VENARIA REALE where the grand palaces of the Savoya family sit. We will stroll through the impressive gardens and be impressed by the powerful and playful reindeer fountain. After relaxing and a brief rest in the cafe in the heart of the green nature, women headed to the ALFREDO RUSSO chef's restaurant which starred in the country in the Knife Fighting program for a special tasting lunch. In the afternoon we walked to the stunning hillside area south of Turin LE LANGHE. We will visit the amazing FONTANA FREDDA winery also called "King's Winery" and taste their amazing BAROLO wine. Transfer to our hotel in the area. Dinner at a superb local trattoria where, among other things, the region's flagship dish - STRACOTTO AL BAROLO.
Day 4: Search for truffle mushrooms - a cooking course in the Lange area
In the morning we will go to LA MORRA town to meet Enzo, the TARTUFAIO - a tartupo search dog trainer. We will go with him to one of the hazelnut forests in the area and walk with his tame dog Anastasia, on a search tour and discover underground truffle mushrooms, hoping to find some truffles, black or white. Together with Chef Saul and Enzo - Elena's mother, we will cook TAGLIATELLE AL TARTUFO NERO. We will continue to an amazing farm in the Barbaresco Hills area and cook with Saul Pasta for another world. We will return to our hotel for a rest. Dinner at one of the great area restaurants.
Day 5: Lake Maggiore - Milan
This morning we will leave for one of the most beautiful lakes in northern Italy - LAGO MAGGIORE. Go to the fishing island for lunch at the local Alyssa restaurant. We'll taste the local flagship PAPPADELLE DI GRANO SARACENO CON BOTTARGA DI PERSICO and other great local dishes. Continuing to the most beautiful island of all non is ISOLA BELLA. We will tour the impressive Burmese palace and breathtaking botanical gardens. We'll take an APEROL SHPRITZ orange and delightful drink on the lake shore. In the evening we will go to Milan.
